The day I went into labor I got at the hospital and was 5 cm dilated and my contractions still weren't that bad so I have no idea how much dilation happened between that 35 weeks and the start of labor at 39 weeks. Don't want to get your hopes up, but with my son I had my first cervical check at 35 weeks, 4 days, and was 3 cm dialated and 80% effaced, and went into labor 2 hours later! (At the hospital filling out our pre-registry paperwork!) But, judging by all the previous responses, my situations seems like the minority. Good luck!

By 1 pm(4 hours later) she felt them more consistently. She got admitted to hospital at 2 pm and had baby at 8 pm.
