The good: The train ride is leisurely and feels like a blast from the past. The train depot did a nice job of building anticipation. The opportunity to spend time in conversation with my wife on our anniversary was really nice. The scenery is pretty typical central Iowa woodland with the exceptioin of the river crossing and the high bridge.
