The park brake switch lets the engine ecm know if you are using cruise switches for cruise or fast idle. This is a very common switch to go bad. The air manifold is located in lower section of the middle dash. I am attaching a diagram of the air manifold with all the switches. The switch you are checking is the park brake cutout switch.
