If you're running version 2.0 and newer you can use mouse to get around it, because cemu can't see the gyro from the steam controller and cemuhook isn't supported anymore. BOTW is better in Cemu, it’s a weird edge case that will always run better. That said, yes, BOTW has been improved massively over the last few months and now works with the Vulkan renderer which is much faster.
