The Glenfield 30A is/was the cheaper version of the Marlin 336. Then Marlin discontinued the Glenfield line. They still made the guns, but now called the Marlins. So a "Marlin 30A" is just a newer "Glenfield 30A", which is the no-frills version of a Marlin 336. Same guns, same internals, just not as pretty.
