Glock 30s vs glock 30sf.
I prefer my 30 gen 4 over my 30S. Personal preference none can guide me on and for which it be hard to guide others on. Best advise so far has been to find other model gen 4 compared to their gen 3 counterpart. As for the SF. Thought 30 gen 4 is literally and SF. Therefore the blackstrap would make the gen 4 thicker.

It's a 36 slide on a 30SF frame so it's the thinner 36 slide that drops the 4oz in weight, not the frame since the frames are the same. So yes it is lighter, but for me I'm not going to rush out and sell my Gen4 30 to buy a 30S, it's not that big of a deal to me. I didn't care for the feel of the Xds and I didn't like the trigger. The 30s felt much better to me and was naturally easier to control with follow ups. They had a 30S and a 30SF in stock so I spent some time deciding which to get. I know I'm going to be tempted to carry this gun so I went with the 30S for the thinner slide. Another customer was carrying a 30SF on him and he said he loved the gun and that he sold a Glock 27 because he didn't like the snappy recoil haha. That really swayed me.

Second, for some unbeknownst reason to me, I have a difficult time taking it down. I have no problem with my 21sf, only the 30sf gives me some problems. Although I would prefer the 30sf to a 1911 for reliability, I keep my Kimber Ultra around because I can "hang on" to it and it just feels more comfortable/stable in my hand.
