Ok, guys i think i have the same issue as well. Mine's a 05. when its cold its usually no whine, but after a long drive after the car is really hot i get this Anoyying scary whine sound coming from the engine. and it whines when I turn the steering wheel as well. If so then it is is probably engine related - power steering, alternator, etc. If it whines only when moving then it could be a wheel bearing or transmission related. I say power steering also.
