Same. I’ve beaten junimo kart several times now, but always by taking the lava path. I’ve never even gotten half way through let alone beaten the mushroom path. It’s at the point where I all but give up if the kart goes that way.

So I'm currently completing a quest from a "certain someone" to get 50000 points in endless mode of Junimo Kart and it's a nightmare. The levels are so heavily based on luck, the jumps feel so weird, and it gets insane at the second level. Speaking of which: the slippery ice slopes make tight jumps impossibly difficult.This stage compared to Whale-3 and 5 is relatively easy; use it as a reset stage to gain lives again. From this stage onward, the Junimo Kart speed is permanently faster, adjusts your jumps accordingly. Ideally, you want to continue to maintain a net positive or neutral life gain.
