Most of my polymer pistols are modified but not ported. Most mods include Carver tungsten guiderods, slightly heavier spring, and JG or Apex triggers. I recently purchased a like new 2019 Staccato P 4.15 barrel gun.Changing the recoil spring makes a huge difference. Because the compensator deflects some of the force, you can go a lot lighter and still be quite reliable. I tried a 7 pound spring but it felt sluggish in the return. 8 or 9 pounds is the sweet spot. The Staccato XC was amazing, the slide was ridiculous and it shot extremely flat. The P has a heavier recoil spring so the slide isn't buttery like the XC, but still smooth. I'm going to go with the XC again just based on my past experience with it. Unabashedly in part due to aesthetics as well.The CS is a little bit snappier than the C2, but fits better in the hand for many and is a little easier to conceal. As for the magazines, the C2 is compatible with the rest of the Staccato family while the CS is not.
