My only advice around the broker is to pick one that has a 24 hour trade desk with margins and commissions you can tolerate, but only if you’re using them for trades, not just data. I’ve only used Tradovate, CQG, Rithmic and Denali (Sierrachart proprietary data feed) data feeds, and I’d rank them Denali > Rithmic > CQG > Tradovate in terms of reliability.Tradovate offers a CQG connection, that solves this. Either way, you are paying for market data. I suppose similar to the way that Samsung or Apple make phones, but the don't work without a carrier connection, which have separate contracts and fees.
