It's very easy to get the dark side ending by siding with the wrong person on Onderon. The Ebon Hawk always falls into depths of Malachor, IIRC. That doesn't have to do with whether you're LS or DS. If you killed any Jedi Masters or failed to get HK-47, then Malachor V will stay intact.

They take place thousands of years before A New Hope, but for the most part the aesthetics are right in line with the original trilogy/prequels. I really like how Tales of the Jedi tried to feel really ancient. When The Old Republic is explored in canon, if it ever is, I hope they adopt this approach rather then take inspiration from KotOR.
