don't do it on a GT, all it will do is pool in the lower intake, on my n/a 3800 i used the sea foam that comes in a fogger can, and the car will try to die, but you have to hold the rpms up so this isn't allowed, they are a turd to start with sea foam in the cylinders/intake ... Connect these resistors one at a time between terminals A and B and look at the dash guage. The 50 ohm should give you the max, 180 ohm should give you 100°C, and 1450 ohms should give you 40°C. -Larry.
1) disconnect the ECT. 2) connect resistances 1400, 93, and 55 ohms in turn and observe guage. 3) guage should read min, mid, and max temperature. This tested out just fine. 1400 ohms is for 40°C, and the min in the guage is 40°C. 93 ohms is for 120°C, and the exact mid positon is 120°C. The 2.8/3.1 V6 engines are notorious for LIM gasket failure. In a nut shell most GM V-engines have LIM gasket issues. GM just went a little cheap on the gasket design. Now, put new coolant O-Rings and the new S/C gasket onto the LIM. Place carefully. Use copper spray if you would like. Place the supercharger down carefully onto the new S/C gasket.Makes sure you install the 2 O-ring seals [at the back] on the LIM, between the LIM and Supercharger.
