PTR 91 GI R Scope advice and pics. I'm in the process of finding an optic for my PTR-91 GI R and would like some advice. The GI R has the welded top rail so as far as I know the traditional STANAG claw mounts are a no-go. I want to keep functionality of the iron sights but also have a nice looking optic on the top.

The problem with this handguard however is that it is meant for a full length HK-91 rifle. The PTR-32 is not full length. It has a 16" threaded barrel and measures out to 18" with the bird cage flash hider installed.
