The VCM Tuner II and the S-VCM seem to be the devices of choice with most of the members. Both do, or should, work well. I've had S-VCMs in two Pilots over the last six years and haven't experienced any problems. That said, if you've had two funky ones it makes sense you may feel more comfortable with the Tuner II.

I leave my aftermarket VCM Tuner 2 installed, unless I going to the Service Dept (no reason to give Honda an excuse to deny the warranty work on the infotainment system LOL). Without the aftermarket device, my Passport gets 1 - 2 miles better MPG, but the engine constantly hunts for the correct number of cylinders to activate, in city traffic.

Oct 19, 2023 · I installed a VCM Tuner II on our 2015 Odyssey 2 months ago. The car has 90k miles on it. Prior to installing the VCM tuner, we had 2 incidents of the check engine light coming on and replacing spark plugs. Since the last CEL, we replaced spark plug #2 and installed the VCM Tuner II.
