For standards, no they're not. If your shuttle is the downtown one you take the downtown on to get there and back. They scan your pass when you go to EDC. The passes are color coded as well. When leaving EDC they section off which shuttles goes to where and they have staff turning people away if you're not at your right spot.
Our group decided to camp versus get a hotel and we now have approximately 8 shuttle passes from the Strat. If anyone is looking, let me know! Thanks! With stubhub they can actually hook you up with what you need the day of. StubHub is probably the most trustworthy 2nd hand ticket site out there. It's the timing. Off peak for example would be like a 6p-3am which is when shuttles are used less. On peak could be like 8p-4am. The off peak and peak shuttles are for premiere. I purchased regular shuttle passes and never waited more than 30min. We left from Tropicana every day at 6p and the speedway at 3am.I left EDC as 3am and walked right onto the shuttle, no line at all. Day 2: reached shuttle at 6pm and walked right onto the bus, no line. Reached EDC at 7:10pm. Stayed till 5am, and when leaving I waited on line a HOUR to get onto the shuttle to leave EDC. But I was prepared for the wait since around 5am is when you have thousands of people ...The shuttles were a benefit for when you wanted to go back to the strip after the night was over.
