I agree with not limiting the rpm's. I would however not do it even if you have a tissue converter. The belt will wear through prematurely. The only real way to slow a kart down is through gearing. You will have to gear lower for a slower speed. You will have more torque though.

Letting off completely doesn't let the carb freely close back up. If that Predator is a 212cc then a .036 jet is a good hotrod jet for it, same thing I'm running. You also need to replace the low jet when you put in the .036, or it'll have all kinds of trouble. Mine's now a .022 low jet.The only thing it’ll do is, make your kart slow. The predator 212 engine that has the governor will rev at 3600 RPM maximum; without the governor, it can rev up to 5000 RPM (with other stock parts). Since rpm is relative to speed, if the setup makes use of the same tires and gearing, the mini-bike or Go-kart will be 1.5x faster than before.
