I have a few different snow blades for the John Deere garden tractors. I've got a couple for the JD older 300 series tractors like the 318 332 of the earlier 317 and 140s. Also have one for the 400 420 or 430 and then I've got one for the 445 455. I've even got one for the F series front mount mowers like the F935.Southern Alberta, Canada. It helps to turn the pto shaft the opposite of normal rotation to help "unhook" the worn parts while pulling back on the above mentioned collar.. There's a plate on the transmission (the transmission or pump is where the drive line attaches) that connects to the petals. Normally when you move the petal a bit the plate moves.

Original problem was when mowing it would run for approximately 10 minutes then die. Pick up lines were rotted. After re-assembling I wrongly hooked up two lines.
