August 24, 2018. Late in the night of August 24th, a severe thunderstorm developed over Northeast Reno County. Hardest hit was Hutchinson, where destructive 70-80 mph winds caused multiple power outages and damaged a roof so severely that the facility had to be evacuated. No injuries were reported.
