The ABTF calculator is not all-seeing, and it can be off by a cup size or two (rarely more, though it's not impossible--see here for reasons why calculator may overestimate). Even then, you cannot expect every bra in 40I US / 40G UK to be a perfect fit. But the ABTF calc does get you way close than any other calculator! In standard US sizing, 36H is designed for a 44" bust (8" difference) and 36I is designed for a 45" bust (9" difference).
