The torque curve just isn't there for long hills loaded heavy. Peak torque pops in at 1600 and tapers off as rpms Increase. So by that math 1600 should be good, wrong its hp just isn't there at that low of a rpm. Ive found the best happy place is 2300. Manage your expectations and you can reliably run 500hp as a daily with the 64mm turbo, professionally built Allison 6spd, CP3/Fass 165gph lift pump & EFILive DSP5 switch.
