If your coming from a more luxury vehicle that has great sound dampening then it will sound loud asf, but actually be normal. And vice versa. The rav4 has never been known to be great on cabin noise. Especially the 2019 models as they had no hood blanket for insulation.Much better handling and driving experience with CX-5. Nicer interior in all respects in CX-5. The turbocharged engine in the CX-5 whipped the RAV-4's. RAV-4 was just vaguely tacky and boring. I also preferred the CX-5's styling to the RAV-4's Tonka-truck styling, but that's subjective. Both have stellar reliability ratings.

The RAV4 interior is a lot more "basic" than the CR-V. It's well done and it looks decent, but it's far from the luxury look of the CR-V. It has more space inside, at least visually speaking, I didn't measure anything. The visibility is much better and the transmission is so, so much better than the Honda. CR-V Sport 4WD is at $35,195 vs Rav4 Hybrid XLE with Weather and Convenience Package at $35,260. And darn close feature parity here too. I don't have a favorite (will need to test drive first), but if they're dinging Honda on price, that doesn't appear to be accurate across all the trims. 3. Even with lumbar support. A base or mid-range model RAV4 is perfectly reasonable and competitive in the marketplace. You pay a premium for them used. Rav4 less than a 4Runner or, god forbid, Tacoma but it's a premium nonetheless. Their new prices are within the realm of reasonable. Nothing holds its value like a Toyota truck.

For my budget, I'm deciding between a late gen 3 vs and early gen 4. I'm looking at 2010+ so either car will have the 2.5ar engine. If I get the gen 3 I'll get the limited edition vs gen 4 xle.

Night and day difference. Hybrid is the way to go. Over all Smoother, quiter driving experience. Disliked the 8 speed tranny. I immediately missed the quick responsiveness of the e-cvt and the electric motors. I got 22 mpg on the adventure. I easily get 35-42mpg on my hybrid without trying. There is no real downside to the hybrid.In addition, until the self parking/driving is better I think it is mostly a gimmick. I was curious to see what the Tucson will have. The RAV4 was never intended for off-roading, it’s designed intent is similar to a Subaru. It’ll get you up the occasional slippery hill or through a snowstorm, but keep it off the trails. Regardless of what tires or lift kit goes on, with a 1500lb towing capacity there’s just not much grunt in it.
