Figured it out. When you go to open your save, you have to tell the program it’s a switch save you’re opening. Change the file type in the bottom right of the file open dialog box. Works for me! Nice work! I didn't even notice that file type box. Works fine now. Do I have to be hacked to hack a switch save.
