I have experienced tagged and cursed on a raid where I was fully geared. No clue what was the trigger in this case and probably a bug. If you put gear on, it breaks the tag. Say you kill a few scavs and toss on a rig or armor. Pistol only (with spare mag of course) works consistently for me.

Reason I ask I've got a weekly for 70 scav kills, but cba dying to one pellet from a toz, so I wondered if I could put on an armoured rig with a pistol inside it, spawn, tagged, then arm up and shoot the horde with armour as opposed to going naked with a pistol to get rushed and one tapped for this weekly of mine.
