Then tried the latest Ping, Titleist and Cobra heads with that shaft, none matched the Mavrik, so that's what CC recommended of course.

Interesting. Played around with my mavrik SZ this weekend. Adjusted it in multiple configurations including 9* and standard / neutral adapter settings and could not / did not hit it well. Adjusted it to 2* up and draw and hit it very well. Maybe the first time I've actually seen a difference when making adapter adjustments.
